Located at the crossroads of Europe and Africa, Tunisia holds a strategic position as a key transportation hub, bordered by Algeria and Libya, and serving as a gateway to neighboring Arab nations.

The Tunisian government had been preparing for the construction of this bridge for over 15 years. The original bridge, often in need of repairs, disrupted daily traffic and could only be lifted when vehicles or ships passed through. To improve connectivity and efficiency, a modern replacement was urgently needed.

This iconic project, even covered by China’s People’s Daily, is widely seen as a symbol of development and cooperation. TECON is honored to contribute to the construction of this "Bridge of Happiness" in Tunisia by providing formwork solutions and participating in its successful delivery.

2 sets of Base 20 Wall Formwork

Recognizing the significance of this bridge project, TECON assigned a dedicated team to engage closely with the client and thoroughly understand their technical and project-specific requirements. During the coordination process, we provided detailed guidance on the application of TECON Self-Climbing and Climbing Formwork systems. By sharing our on-site experience and best practices, we ensured that the client gained a comprehensive understanding of the system’s operation, laying a solid foundation for smooth implementation during construction.

Prior to material delivery, TECON conducted a comprehensive pre-assembly test to ensure all formwork components meet the required standards and can be smoothly installed on site.

At present, all formwork systems are in the process of being shipped to the project location. We look forward to seeing TECON formwork play a role in the construction of this landmark structure — the "Bridge of Happiness."
