TECON Introduces Upgraded HETO Frame and Alu-Flex Slab Formwork for Modern Construction Projects

At the end of 2025, TECON completed major upgrades to its HETO Frame Formwork and Alu-Flex Slab Formwork systems. Both systems have been widely used for many years and have gained strong market recognition. Based on long-term user experience and jobsite feedback, TECON implemented targeted improvements to further enhance stability, efficiency, and overall usability.

HETO 3.0: A More Stable, Efficient, and Cost-Effective Frame Formwork System

HETO 3.0 was developed to further reduce unit construction costs within a proven steel frame formwork system. While maintaining the familiar application logic trusted by contractors, the upgrade focuses on improving efficiency and reducing overall system burden under the same jobsite conditions.

HETO 3.0

With identical panel dimensions, HETO 3.0 features a more balanced structural relationship between the steel frame and panel, reducing panel weight by approximately 1–2 kg compared with conventional steel frame systems. In projects involving frequent lifting, assembly, and reuse, this lighter weight reduces labor intensity and improves operational efficiency.

HETO 3.0 features

The system uses 15 mm birch plywood with optimized load distribution between the frame and facing, improving stability during concrete pouring and minimizing on-site adjustments caused by deformation.

optimized load distribution

HETO 3.0 also prioritizes the adjustable formwork coupler as the primary connection method, reducing reliance on tie rods and auxiliary components. This simplifies installation, improves material management, and introduces a cost-effective connection option—the Mini Clamp—to further reduce overall system cost.

Ultimately, HETO 3.0 delivers a more stable, efficient, and cost-effective frame formwork solution while maintaining the proven system logic familiar to jobsite teams.

Alu-Flex Slab Formwork: From Temporary Wind Protection to Built-In System Stability

The upgraded Alu-Flex Slab Formwork integrates wind resistance directly into the structural design, transforming it from a temporary jobsite measure into an inherent system capability. Through lighter early-stripping heads with reduced drop height, optimized aluminum profiles, and combined welded-and-bolted connections, the system achieves both weight reduction and increased structural strength.

Alu-Flex Slab Formwork

The redesigned early-stripping head and aluminum profiles improve handling and usability, while panels can now hang directly on the early-stripping head, simplifying installation. The reduced drop height enables faster and smoother dismantling, improving the overall assembly and reuse cycle.

Dedicated wind-resistance nodes create a clear anti-uplift load path, allowing wind forces to be absorbed and transferred within the structure itself. This prevents slab formwork uplift at the source and reduces reliance on temporary reinforcement measures. This capability is particularly valuable for high-rise and open slab structures, coastal or high-wind regions, and projects with tight schedules and strict tolerance requirements.

To further enhance adaptability, a newly developed filler beam allows flexible adjustment between standard panels and structural boundaries while maintaining system integrity. It is also compatible with the new APEX DEK slab formwork system, improving versatility and reducing the need for specialized components.

further enhance adaptability

Through weight reduction, structural optimization, and integrated wind-resistance design, the upgraded Alu-Flex system enhances jobsite safety, simplifies handling, and improves overall slab construction efficiency.

These upgrades reflect TECON’s commitment to improving formwork systems based on real jobsite needs. The enhanced HETO 3.0 and Alu-Flex systems help contractors achieve greater efficiency, safety, and cost control in modern construction projects.
