DUBAI, UAE — TECON Formwork is proud to supply customized formwork and scaffolding engineering solutions for the prestigious Armani Beach Residences Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. Designed through an extraordinary architectural partnership between Italian fashion legend Giorgio Armani and Pritzker Prize-winning architect Tadao Ando, this ultra-luxury beachfront residential landmark seamlessly integrates haute couture design with structural concrete mastery fronting the Arabian Gulf.
The 45.8-meter-high building features extensive exposed fair-face architectural concrete across vertical walls, columns, and sweeping balcony slabs. Meeting Tadao Ando’s signature fair-face concrete aesthetic required strict precision regarding seam sealing, surface consistency, and high-load structural support across all floors.
To fulfill these high architectural standards, TECON deployed an integrated system combining high-rigidity H20 timber beam formwork with heavy-duty Ringlock scaffolding. The timber beam formwork incorporated precision-milled panel joints to eliminate slurry loss without damaging concrete faces. For the complex level 6 split-level cantilever overhangs, a 13-meter high-clearance Ringlock shoring tower was engineered to handle extreme load concentrations while utilizing non-destructive facade anchors to protect the finished concrete.
To ensure seamless execution, TECON’s technical field engineers remain active on-site in Dubai. The team provides continuous after-sales support, safety inspections, and formwork turnover optimization to maximize efficiency, guarantee safety, and safeguard structural perfection through every stage of construction.
