Six Features of Wooden Building Formwork

    Ⅰ.The application of wooden building formworks is becoming more and more extensive


    Wooden formwork has developed rapidly in recent years and has formed a complete set of mature production and construction technology. The main application tree species are eucalyptus, poplar, etc. The use of wooden formwork is also becoming more and more widespread, ranging from cylindrical formwork, square column formwork to beam formwork, shear wall formwork and so on.


    Ⅱ. Six features of wooden building formwork


    1. Large board width and flat surface


    This feature reduces a lot of work in the process of building construction. It does not require too many construction personnel to carry out formwork support, pouring, and mold removal. It also saves a lot of labor costs and reduces the cost of the exposed surface of concrete as well as decoration and seam grinding.


    2. Large bearing capacity


    It can well bear the pressure of pouring construction and the lateral pressure of concrete. And the surface is covered with a film, which is smooth and wear-resistant, and can be used repeatedly.


    3. Light material


    With a thick bottom of 18mm, made of multilayer plywood, the construction formwork weighs only 50 kilograms per unit area. One or two construction workers can easily move the construction formwork without mechanical assistance, which saves money. Moreover, it is much more convenient to stack, use and manage than steel building formworks.


    4. Easy to bend and shape


    Wooden cylindrical formwork, special-shaped formwork, etc. are all wooden formwork produced by high-temperature hot pressing, which can easily adapt to the installation needs of construction projects and make various curved building formwork.


    5. Convenient sawing


    The wooden formwork can be cut directly with an electric saw, and it has different lengths or heights of construction projects, which is convenient for construction.


    6. Good insulation performance


    The wood material has a small heat transfer effect and can well prevent the temperature of the concrete from changing too quickly, especially in accordance with the construction requirements in winter, and can help the concrete insulation for winter construction.
