Climbing formwork is a special climbing formwork system for large vertical concrete structures. For structures that require seamless walls or have very repeating forms, climbing formwork will be an effective solution.

Depending on the type of building to be built, there are several types of climbing formwork system. They can use hydraulic jacks or electric jacks (often called self-climbing formwork) to move on their own, or they can be moved using cranes and other equipment.
